Avast Decryption Tools - TargetCompany Application
In an effort to decrypt ransomware, Avast has released the TargetCompany ransomware decryptor. However, the tool is only usable under certain conditions. It works by comparing encrypted files with the original, unencrypted versions. The process may take hours to complete.
There are dozens of ransomware variants. The Avast decryptor is free to download. It requires 64-bit Windows builds for maximum speed. After installation, it appears as a wizard and proceeds to perform the required encryption. Avast also warns that this decryption tool is extremely time-intensive, taking up most processor cores.
Using Avast decryption tools will allow victims to recover their files without paying the ransomware gang. It is important to note that the tool will only work if you have the attackers' decryption password. It may take several hours to crack the password.
Avast also has decryption tools for other ransomware strains. These include the LockFile and AtomSilo ransomware. Alternatively, you can use a downloadable tool from Kaspersky. Both tools have a "how-to" guide for each type of ransomware.
